When musicians enter the recording studio, they seem to think "bigger is better." I used to think the same way. Over the years, I have recorded solo piano, duo piano (with myself,) piano and full orchestra...strings, brass and percussion, multiple-keyboards where I played many instruments via multi-tracking the recording. However the favorite songs on my recordings seem to be the simpler, solo piano tunes.

One of the tunes on which I received the most feedback was a simple recording of HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW, recorded solo piano, no violins, no trumpets, just simple, solo piano.

So here is the piano, alone, in a quiet studio. Dim the lights. Pour yourself a drink. Lean back in your favorite chair and enjoy the piano!
